Well maintain museum that shares in the history of McDowell County. Friendly service is available with well kept grounds for viewing.

Beautiful historic homes and museum tucked away in a charming mountain town. What a great place to bring the family!

Just off the interstate. This cute little Town ...so friendly, loved the short visit

Stopped by with family for a picnic after hiking nearby catawba falls. Very informative museum staff. The grounds are very peaceful beside the creek. Great local history stop.

Very cool place!!! We had a picnic out by the creek and loved the historical models. The displays change downstairs. This time we learned all about a photographer who spend his whole life taking photos of mountain families and their way of life. He was an artist as well. He made basket's out of tree.
